Bio
Hi, I'm Greg Zorrilla—a production artist and creative technologist with 28 years of experience in digital art and illustration. Throughout my career, I've had the pleasure of working with renowned companies across various industries, bringing imaginative concepts to life using both traditional and digital techniques.
I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Animation & Visual Effects from the Academy of Art University, where I specialized in particle effects, smoke and debris destruction, fluid effects, and cloth animation. I also developed strong technical skills in video compositing and Python coding.
Additionally, I earned an Associate’s Degree in Computer Animation from Full Sail University, where I focused extensively on 3D animation for characters and objects, motion graphics, rigging, soft body dynamics, and digital hair techniques.
I've always believed that being a versatile artist means embracing both creativity and critical thinking. Over the years, I've continuously honed my skills through hands-on experience, constant learning, and adaptability, allowing me to confidently tackle diverse projects and dynamic creative environments.
My specialties include creating 3D visual effects in Houdini and Maya, as well as generating realistic visual effects using fluid dynamics and digital pyrotechnics. I also love to explore instructional graphics with motion.
Feel free to browse my portfolio, where you'll find examples of my work and learn about the kinds of creative challenges I have taken on. I love to work with other creatives in bringing mind visions to life with quality and attention to detail.
I am happily married to my amazing wife, Maresa, and together we have three incredible children whom I cherish deeply.
